在比賽進行到1-1平，裁判還有不到1分鍾的脑回南美時間就要進入加時賽的時候，戴維森與對手的冠军一名球員發生了爭執 。

然後，裁判令人匪夷所思的脑回南美一幕發生了，戴維森順著這一推倒地 ，冠军並痛苦的球员请位捂住了自己被推的部位 ，假裝自己受到了嚴重的侵襲 。
這隻是比賽中的一個小插曲 ，很快雙方進入加時賽 ，帕爾梅拉斯獲得了最終的勝利 。
值得一提的是 ，加時賽的決勝進球正是由戴維森攻入的。
