在與老東家廣州足球俱樂部協商解約後 ，由身高拉特於1周多前啟程離開中國 ，梅拉返回巴西 。斯年高拉特引起了包括帕爾梅拉斯 、欧元聖保羅 、签约科林蒂安等巴西傳統勁旅俱樂部的两年興趣 。而最終帕爾梅拉斯將其“競爭得手” 。高拉
據巴西媒體透露，特无帕爾梅拉斯為高拉特準備了一份為期2年，限接薪万年薪200萬歐元的近自加盟合同 。而綜合年齡等因素，由身高拉特已經同意接受這份邀約 。他也於近期通過了該俱樂部的體檢 。
由於南美解放者杯決賽將於本周末在帕爾梅拉斯與弗拉門戈這對巴西球隊之間進行 。因此帕爾梅拉斯俱樂部計劃在本場比賽結束後 ，官宣高拉特加盟一事 。
事實上 ，2019年 ，高拉特曾被廣州（恒大）俱樂部租給過帕爾梅拉斯俱樂部 。但也正是因為這次短暫的租借轉會 ，高拉特受國際足聯球員身份規定影響 ，無法代表中國隊參加本屆世預賽 ，因此有關他的歸化工作成為一次徹底的“浪費” 。
