對於未來是否有可能換帥 ，京媒分析稱 ，由於此前聘任李霄鵬實際是由體育管理部門牽頭的“領導工作小組”主導下落實 ，因此李霄鵬及其團隊是留還是走 ，依然需要“領導工作小組”按程序做出決定。另外從李霄鵬個人風格來看 ，也不大可能主動遞出辭呈 。
國足下一步的重點將是明年的亞洲杯 ，下一步如何開展工作 ？李霄鵬團隊是否繼續帶隊？都要等“領導工作小組”決定 。
