明晚 ，国足中國隊將迎來12強賽的训练首場“榮譽之戰” 。助理教練肇俊哲接受采訪時表示 ，重点组安希望用中沙之戰給低穀中的强调中國足球帶來正能量。

據當地媒體消息 ，沙特足協主席亞希爾·阿爾·梅沙爾告誡本隊 ，沙特隊實力確實高於中國隊 ，但沒有任何輕鬆的比賽 ，中國隊可以自由發揮 ，放開比賽 ，給予對手很大壓力 。所以沙特球員必須高度集中精力對抗中國隊 。
