Sydney's Taronga Zoo has released an outlandishly adorable video of its new marsupial resident, a little Goodfellows tree kangaroo joey who took his first steps on Wednesday.

It's a quick roam, but a solid first adventure. Pretty soon he'll be climbingand we'll be sure to let you know in capital letters.
Tree kangaroos, though related to the Australian icon, are native to Papua New Guinea, and with more than 50 percent of wild populations lost over three generations, they're classified as endangered — cheers, human activity and habitat loss.

This little joey raises the number of tree kangaroos at Taronga to four, and the worldwide breeding conservation program (which features our joey's dad, Parum) to 52.
