Codais a film about a deaf family, helmed by writer and director Sian Heder, who won Best Adapted Screenplay earlier in the night. The film makes Oscar history by largely starring Deaf actors, including Best Supporting Actor winner Troy Kotsur. These three wins mean CODAhad a sweep, proving the victor in each of its nominated categories.
