林加德的合同在明年夏天到期 ，曼聯不願看到球員免費離隊 ，因此為他提供了一份續約合同 ，周薪為13.5萬英鎊 。但對於林加德來說 ，接下來的重要目標是希望能隨英格蘭隊參加2022年卡塔爾世界杯，為此他必須在俱樂部中獲得更多更穩定的出場機會 。
