但利茲聯本賽季最終保級成功 ，巴萨巴西這使得球員無法以相對低廉的高管價格轉會。有消息稱 ，飞赴利茲聯如果降級 ，英伦拉菲尼亞將以2500萬歐的追逐终对價格轉投巴薩 ，但保級成功後球員身價立刻回歸到了4000萬歐 。魔翼更有甚者，利物有媒體報道稱 ，利茲聯為拉菲尼亞叫價7000萬歐 ，靜待巴薩還價 。
西媒隨即表示，拉菲尼亞轉投巴薩可能無法最終實現 ，這一方麵源於球員價格超出市場價，另一方麵，登貝萊的續約與否還需等待最終決定 。如今 ，登貝萊加盟切爾西的日子似乎越來越近 ，巴薩也重新啟動了關於引進拉菲尼亞的談判 。
