北京時間12月19日 ，阿圭據阿根廷媒體《TN》報道 ，应效官宣退役後已經重返阿根廷阿圭羅表示 ，命阿没想目前自己尚無計劃以工作人員的根廷个节身份出現在2022年卡塔爾世界杯的舞台上 。

“現在我什麽都不會去想 ，因為我也是最近才做出了退役這個重要決定 。我回到阿根廷就是為了過聖誕 ，這就是事實的真相以及全部 。”
“能夠和國家隊一起出征2022年世界杯是件好事 ，但我必須誠實的表示 ，目前我還完全沒有考慮過這方麵的事情 。但顯然我的心會與他們同在 。”
