拜仁的右路新陣型4222體係中沒有10號位球員 ，但薩內前場多麵手的特質將有助於他參與位置競爭 ，因為他幾乎能踢進攻端的任何一個位置 。萊萬的離隊也可能進一步解放薩內 ，由於前場的輪轉換位更為靈活 ，薩內也能夠更多出現在中路或者根據情況切換到左路 。
該媒體也指出 ，拜仁上下都相信薩內的水平 ，他也得到了薩利和納帥的大力支持 ，而剩下的隻能靠薩內自己努力 ，他需要為世界杯名額而戰。
