羅馬諾表示 ，曝拜拜仁不想出售萊萬 ，仁计人正並計劃與其經紀人商談續約問題，划莱而巴薩正在與萊萬經紀人紮哈維進行談判 。续约若拜仁和萊萬之間未能談妥 ，经纪巴薩準備為萊萬提供一份2+1或者3年的巴萨合同 。
自加盟拜仁以來，谈判萊萬跟隨球隊贏得了無數獎杯 ，曝拜但遺憾的是 ，由於此前的金球獎取消 ，萊萬未能成功捧得這一榮譽 。本賽季 ，拜仁雖然在德甲賽場完成了十連冠 ，創造了五大聯賽的連冠紀錄 ，但是球隊在歐冠1/4決賽被西甲球隊比利亞雷亞爾淘汰 ，無緣晉級半決賽。此外 ，皇馬前鋒本澤馬 、曼城中場德布勞內 、利物浦前鋒馬內和薩拉赫本賽季狀態神勇 ，且所效力的球隊均有可能問鼎聯賽冠軍和歐冠冠軍 。對於即將迎來34歲生日的萊萬說，職業生涯末期若不能奪得金球獎 ，那就需要得到一份大合同 。
