LONDON -- A street artist has painted an image of Omran Daqneesh, the five-year-old boy whose photo was widely shared on social media last week after he was injured in Aleppo, Syria, to help raise awareness of the war's consequences.

Daqneesh sits on building blocks that spell out 'End War'.Credit: pegasus"When I first saw the images and footage of Omran it broke my heart and I felt compelled to help bring awareness to the devastating consequences of war," Pegasus told Mashable.
"I decided to use the image of Omran to address the fact that the innocent and vulnerable are usually the most likely victims of war."
The image took Pegasus three days to complete. He told Mashablehe's currently speaking to charities that focus on children's aid in Syria.
"Once I have spoken with each and have made my decision, I intend [to release] the image as a limited edition print with all proceeds going to the chosen organization," he said.
