《體壇周報》表示 ，海港每逢上海德比，国脚必是封闭刺刀見紅 。但現在 ，比赛人們絲毫感受不到德比的德比的感的刺氛圍。“德比 ？觉怀激感現在沒有什麽德比可言，能在賽區正常踢上比賽就不錯了 。念前”吳金貴說 。海港而在對麵 ，隊長王燊超也有同感 ，“現在的德比 ，都是關在賽區進行，沒有現場球迷觀戰 。德比正在失去很多精彩的東西 。”
賽前，當所有人不再提及雙方恩怨 ，不再相互撕咬之時 ，這是德比的寒意 。其實去年的那場1比5慘敗 ，還是會讓申花球員耿耿於懷 ，而奧斯卡的紅牌 ，也被很多海港球迷重新提及 ，可在兩隊陣中 ，絲毫沒有任何硝煙彌漫 。“現在封閉比賽 ，真是一點德比的感覺都沒有的 ，以前的那種緊張感和刺激感 ，真是讓人非常懷念 。”一位海港國腳認為，隻有等到開放主客場 ，德比才能真正歸來 。
