People keep using weird objects to play Overwatch, but this is the first time anyone has used the bongo controller from 2003's Donkey Konga.
Twitch streamer and YouTuber ATwerkingYoshi busted out the bongos, a Nerf gun, a yard sign on a stick and a Dance Dance Revolutiondance pad to play the newest Overwatchhero Orisa, who has an automatic weapon for an arm and a hand drum-shaped ultimate ability. He posted a gif from his stream on Reddit Wednesday.
SEE ALSO:'Overwatch' player lands a double kill while using a bow for a controllerThe Nerf gun is outfitted with a Wii controller for aiming while the trigger shoots Orisa's gun. Meanwhile hitting the bongos will trigger two of Orisa's abilities, Protective Barrier and Fortify. Orisa's third ability Halt! is triggered by moving the "No Trespassing" sign. Very appropriate.
For movement, ATwerkingYoshi used a DDRdance pad. Unfortunately, he wasn't able to trigger Orisa's ultimate.
Other inventive Overwatchplayers have made similarly weird controller setups in the past, like Rudeism's toy bow for Hanzo and WeBeAre's DJ Herosetup for Lúcio.
ATwerkingYoshi is no stranger to playing games with odd controllers. His YouTube channel is filled with videos of him playing other Overwatchheroes like Reinhardt with an inflatable hammer and shield or Lúcio with a Wii remote in a steering wheel grip. He also plays other games with the bongos including Dark Souls 3and a few differentLegend of Zeldagames.
Hopefully he will release a full video of his bongo adventures with Orisa in the future.
