Apple unveiled its latest and greatest Mac Pro at WWDC today, and in case you ever had any doubt the company confirmed that, yes, it is incredibly expensive. What shocked the assembled developers and press, however, wasn't the computer's $5,999 price tag or even that the display is another $4,999. Rather, it's the fact that on top of all that the Pro Stand costs an additional$999.
"The all-new Mac Pro starts at $5,999 and will be available to order in the fall," confirms an Apple press release. "Pro Display XDR starts at $4,999, the Pro Stand is $999 and the VESA Mount Adapter is $199."
