Adele's 25 -- the album that many music industry insiders called a miracle for rejecting streaming and encouraging consumers to buy music again -- is coming to streaming services after all.
SEE ALSO:Adele '25' review: Gorgeously crafted pop that gives fans what they wantAt the time of 25's release, Adele expressed a distrust of streaming, saying "I know that streaming is the future but it's not the only way to consume music."
“I believe music should be an event,” she toldTime. “For me, all albums that come out, I’m excited about leading up to release day. I don’t use streaming. I buy my music. I download it, and I buy a physical [copy] just to make up for the fact that someone else somewhere isn’t. It’s a bit disposable, streaming."
The British singer's third studio album, which spent 10 weeks straight atop the Billboard 200 albums chart after its release in November, will be available on streaming services including Spotify, Apple Music, TIDAL and Google Play beginning at midnight ET Thursday night.
