作為“世界兩大奧林匹克選美盛事”之一 ，琳琳世界小姐選美比賽創辦於1951年 ，第届夺冠它是世界赛落以“促進世界和平 、樹立傑出婦女榜樣和幫助饑餓殘疾兒童”為宗旨 ，小姐大賽所選拔的北京優秀女性是才貌雙全 、充滿愛心、总决積極向上的幕苏健康女性代表，是琳琳具有世界影響的年度時尚文化盛典，至今已有150個參與國家 ，第届夺冠全球超過20億人關注 。
本次比賽選手們經過了兩個多月的激烈比拚 ，通過海選 、複賽的層層篩選，共有25位佳麗亮相決賽舞台，決賽分為活力裝展示 、泳裝展示、晚禮服展示三大環節 ，與往年不同的是在今年的泳裝展示環節還加入了選手的熱舞表演 ，選手們精彩的表演 ，引得全場尖叫聲不斷 。

最終在眾多佳麗中 ，24號選手蘇琳琳以絕對優勢獲得人氣冠軍 ，領先第二名多達12萬票。蘇琳琳 ，遼寧人 ，身高175cm，畢業於北京電影學院 。
賽後蘇琳琳表示 ，來參加這次比賽 ，是為了圓自己一個選美的夢想 ，沒想到竟然拿了冠軍 ，在當選之後也感覺自己肩上的責任更重了 ，在今後的生活和工作中會時刻提升自己 、完善自己 。
