北京時間11月14日 ，在世界杯預選賽歐洲區D組的佩全比賽中，法國坐鎮王子公園球場主場 ，力卫练练8-0大勝哈薩克斯坦 ，界杯並憑借此一役提前出線 ，头得再正式進軍2022卡塔爾世界杯 。球还賽後 ，姆巴冕世本場比賽大放異彩，佩全貢獻了4射1傳的力卫练练巴黎前鋒姆巴佩接受媒體采訪 ，談到了自己的界杯感受 。
姆巴佩表示 ：“最重要的头得再是我們獲得了世界杯的參賽資格 ，我們想要給自己爭取一個衛冕的球还機會 。即便是姆巴冕世對於那些參加過世界杯甚至隨隊奪得了冠軍的人來說 ，能夠再次站在世界杯的佩全舞台上，也是力卫练练一個難以想象的夢想 。球迷們樂在其中 ，而我們也是一樣 。”
“（8-0是因為）我們尊重比賽 ，尊重對手 ，所以我們想要一直堅持到最後一刻。”
本場比賽第32分鍾，姆巴佩接科曼右路傳中，在小禁區前甩頭攻門得手 ，對於這個比較少見的頭球破門 ，姆巴佩表示 ：“在周五的訓練中我就曾經頭球破門過 ，教練說我總是很幸運 ，所以這大概是命運的幫助吧 。我的頭球能力的確不是最好的，但我一直有在進步著 ，即便仍不算是頂級的 ，但已經變得更加接近於我想要的水平了 ，我也會努力打進更多頭球。”
