It's possible that you couldn't keep up with the latest and greatest app updates this week considering all the internet buzz around Jeff Session's testimony. If that's the case, take a chill pill. We've kept up for you.

Here's what caught our eye this week. If you're looking for more, make sure to check out last week's roundup of top apps.
Instagram archives

Let's be real: Instagram is all about how many likes and positive comments users can rack up. People will even go as far as not posting an Instagram in the first place if they don't think it will get enough likes. Others delete after a couple hours if the photo isn't gaining enough traction, or if they're embarrassed of it for some reason.
Instagram is giving users a new option with the archive feature. Just go to the "..." menu in the upper right above your posted photo > Archive. To see posts you've archived, click on the clock icon to right of your username at the top of your feed. All archived photos live there and only you can see them.
To "un-archive" photos, simply go to the "..." menu on your archived photo > "Show on Profile." It'll show up in the chronologically correct place with all of the original likes and comments. So instead of deleting your post next time, just archive it in case you feel the need to re-post it in the future.
Twitter DM bots

Facebook has been helping brands generate more business with buttons for quite a while. But Twitter didn't offer users the same opportunity – until now.
The new buttons give Twitter accounts the ability to do four things: direct people toward the brand's website, follow the account, open a DM conversation thread with another one of the brand's accounts, and post a tweet that was pre-written by the brand. The brands can customize the text of the buttons, making them fit each company's style as best possible.
(We're pretty sure you heard all about Twitter's other update this week, so we won't get into it here.)
iWorks updates

Apple released updates for Pages, Keynote, and Numbers. Notably, they will all have access to a library with over 500 professionally drawn shapes. Also, users can now add linked text boxes, reply to comments, and join conversation threads. Auto-correct features were among other new additions.
Numbers now gives print preview when collaborating. Keynote has a new Light Table view and gives users the option of editing presenter notes when looking at the slide. These are just some of the additions, so look for more the next time you use iWorks.

The app world was blessed with Duomov– an app that lets friends create simultaneous side-by-side videos - this week. Just open the app at the same time as a closely located friend, invite them to make a video with you, and start capturing your footage. When you stop recording, the app will sync the videos and you'll get a split-screen view of the same event from two different perspectives.

As if Pokémon Go (which is currently getting a remodel) wasn't enough, the world now has Garfield Go, too. In the AR treasure hunting game, you send Garfield roaming around the world for missing goodies. Weirdly (but not that surprisingly), players must cook Garfield's favorite foods to get him motivated enough to explore.
And that'll do it for this week. Check back in next week for all the latest!
