Your smartphone's notifications might already be clogged with junk, but what about a short story instead?
Serial Box, an iOS app for serving up serialized fiction on devices, announced in a blog post that it's launching something called Microfiction Mondays, starting from Jul. 9.。
SEE ALSO:Instagram celebrates its latest milestone by letting you add music to your Story。The stories will arrive on your device via push notification in 150 characters or less, and are written by someone from the platform's pool of writers.。
"The perfect bite-sized story for a busy afternoon filled with meetings, we hope these will provide a moment of fictional solace for our Serial Boxers," according to its blog post.。

Thanks for signing up!。
"This is one more step in the world of pushing the boundaries and limitations of technology and social to expand on the written word and storytelling, and we are excited to bring you something fresh." 。
What's neat, or maybe annoying for some, is that these stories are transient. They won't live anywhere on the app, meaning if you inadvertently clear your notifications, you won't see it again.。
The style might bear resemblance to the short fiction published to Twitter that was a thing for a while, when the platform still had a 140-character limit.。 [h/t。[h/t。
