Unless you're one of the 981 people who backed Toasteroid, an app controlled toaster (featured on Kickstarter) that sears emojis and words onto your morning slice.

You can design your own drawings to be printed on the toast or choose from set templates. Then, just choose the level of browning for your breakfast bread and...eat your toast.
The Toasteroid's functions are enough to attract over $90,000 at the time this article was published, well on its way to the $150,000 goal. The Kickstarter campaign runs through Sept. 19 and a pledge of at least $79 gets you a Toasteroid. A mini Toasteroid can be yours for a pledge of $59.
This toaster of the future is projected to start shipping in July 2017 and while it has no shortage of interested consumers,
