《阿斯報》表示 ，跑金此前萊萬無疑是球奖本澤馬的最主要對手 ，他在本賽季參加的争夺战对41場比賽中打入了47球 ，但他淩晨止步歐冠八強 ，手仅剩丁如果你為拜仁效力想贏得金球的丁萨話 ，那麽隻有德甲冠軍是拉赫不夠的 。另外今年的西媒金球獎評選不會考慮世界杯成績 ，所以本澤馬已經在歐冠和聯賽中的本泽成績已經有了足夠的說服力 。
目前 ，马领薩拉赫和德布勞內二人是跑金本澤馬的主要競爭對手 ，利物浦和曼城仍然在歐冠聯賽中 ，球奖本賽季德布勞內出場36場比賽 ，争夺战对貢獻14球8助 ，薩拉赫出場39場比賽 ，貢獻28球11助攻 。
