Let's hope the developers behind Pokémon Gohave learned their lesson.
Niantic is hosting another Pokémon GoFest in Chicago – one year after the first Pokémon GoFest made headlines for being an absolute disaster – the company announced Monday. The 2018 Pokémon GoFest, happening July 14 and 15, is part of a longer Pokémon Gosummer tour of events around the world that will hopefully go swimmingly.

This time around, the Pokémon Go Fest in Chicago will be taking place in Lincoln Park, which is significantly larger than last year's location, Grant Park. The amount of attendees and size of the park made for some incredibly long lines that kept people waiting for hours and a whole lot of connectivity issues. Not a great thing for an event centered around an online app.
Undoubtedly Niantic will be ready with the appropriate measures to keep the crowds happy.
Outside of the Chicago event, Pokémon Goplayers in Dortmond, Germany will be getting a Safari Zone event on June 30 and July 1. Plus there will be another event in Yokosuka, Japan later in the summer and other events around the world with details to come.
