With all of the today's pop culture headlines about Taylor Swift, Kim Kardashian and Kanye, it's easy to overlook the untimely passing of a true music giant: Nils Sjoberg.
Nils Sjoberg, pseudonym of Taylor Swift and co-writer of Calvin Harris' "This Is What You Came For," was unexpectedly removed from the writing credits for the song earlier today.
SEE ALSO:Kim Kardashian Snapchatted Kanye West's phone call to Taylor SwiftSwift's name replaced Sjoberg's in the BMI database, as reported by TMZ.

But after a night as rough as the one Swift just had, this seemed like the perfect time for her to lean into the Nils Sjoberg persona.
An easy remedy for this whole situation could have been to claim that Kanye wasn't talking to Swift on the phone, but instead, prolific Swedish songwriter Nils Sjoberg.
Imagine what else Nils could have accomplished had she continued her career. Would she co-author a jam for Drake and Sia? Throw an Arbor Day party in Rhode Island? Host a season of The Great British Bake Off?
Regardless, she will be missed. Pour one out for Nils while listening to her entire discography, which is, of course, only one song.
At the time of this publication, there are no scheduled Nils Sjoberg tribute concerts, but we will update this post accordingly.
