多哈當地時間9月7日 ，中國隊迎來世預賽12強賽的凌变第二場小組賽，對手是阵后制日朱辰實力強大的日本隊 ，結果變陣532的卫定望中國隊雖然拚盡全力 ，最終還是程度0-1負於對手 。賽後顏駿淩接受了媒體的上限采訪 ，他表示 ，本队球隊變陣五後衛之後 ，杰希還是颜骏在一定程度上限製了日本隊的進攻 。
顏駿淩說：“其實在上一場比賽之後 ，凌变教練團隊對我們做出了很詳細的阵后制日朱辰要求 ，其中包括後防變成五後衛，卫定望 大家可以看到這也在一定程度上限製了日本隊的程度進攻 ，我覺得這場比賽也體現了教練組的上限調整吧 。”
談到下半場4名歸化球員同時登場 ，本队顏駿淩表示：“我覺得能來到國家隊 ，大家都是代表這個國家，去為球隊贏得比賽 ，大家也可以看到 ，歸化球員在一起登場後表現出來的求勝欲望 。”
對於朱辰傑在上半場開場5分鍾臨危受命 ，顏駿淩表示 ：“他的能力一直不錯，並且已經不是國家隊的新人了，對於他來說 ，這樣的比賽並不陌生 ，小朱今天的表現也不錯 ，他還很年輕 ，未來可以為國家隊踢很多年 。”（搜狐體育 裴力）
