iOS 18 is rumored to be jam-packed with AI features, but according to Bloomberg's Mark Gurman, a respected Apple analyst and reliable leaker, not all of the updates are AI-related.
In a recent tweet, Gurman revealed that the Cupertino-based tech giant is planning on updating Control Center and the Settings app.

As MacRumors pointed out, this isn't the first time a major iOS update has been tipped to get a new-and-improved Control Center. Before the release of iOS 15 and iOS 17, there was scuttlebutt that Apple would introduce "significant changes" to Control Center, but this didn't pan out to be true.
However, this time around, it's different because Gurman is actually a credible source. (Gurman is second to Ross Young when it comes to reliable bean spillers, according to AppleTrack.)
In a new tweet, Gurman said that we should expect updates to Control Center as well as a redesigned Settings app for a cleaner, more organized layout.

MacRumors concurred with Gurman, adding that "Apple has internally tested a redesigned Control Center for iOS 18, but we cannot confirm if these changes have been finalized." In other words, there are whispers that Apple has been working on adding some tweaks to Control Center, but it's unclear whether those changes will officially roll out to devices later this year.
Apple is expected to pull the curtains back on iOS 18 during the WWDC 2024 keynote on June 10. If Apple follows precedent, the iOS 18 public beta should arrive in July followed by an official release in September alongside the iPhone 16 series.
