亞洲杯中國組委會官方表示 ：在即將開幕的式和2021中國國際服務貿易交易會上 ，北京工人體育場改造複建項目將在工程谘詢與建築服務專題上亮相 。决赛工體改造複建遵循“傳統外觀 、场地現代場館”原則 ，官方采用了多項智能智造技術 ，新工使工程在升級體育場功能的亚洲前提下 ，保留城市記憶 ，杯开闭幕傳承首都曆史文化風貌 。式和“新工體”預計2022年底完成竣工驗收 ，决赛屆時將作為2023中國亞洲杯開閉幕式和決賽場地投入使用 。场地
據悉，官方改造後的工人體育場在恢複原有開闊 、疏朗空間形態的基礎上 ，將與城市地下軌道交通無縫連接 ，使地下空間資源得到綜合開發利用 。同時 ，全場座椅數量增加到6.8萬個 ，其中為國安球迷設置可容納1.5萬個座椅的“死忠球迷看台” ，觀賽體驗更佳 。
