On Friday, the service went down amid revelations the business ran out of money to pay for movie tickets. Service was restored on Monday, but screenings were few and far between. Then CEO Mitch Lowe said in a meeting that big summer releases like Christopher Robinwon't be available to subscribers, according to Business Insider.
And so, with the company in dire straits, the internet unleashed some brutal memes.
