莫德裏奇在離開熱刺後加盟了皇馬，名记魔笛也成為了皇馬歐冠三連冠的皇马絕對功臣 。而憑借著在2018年世界杯的接近近日即出色發揮以及在2018年俱樂部賽事的完美發揮 ，莫德裏奇還以皇馬球員的续约身份贏得了2018年的金球獎。
在2021-2022賽季開戰後 ，至年已經36歲的官宣莫德裏奇依舊是皇馬中場的第一選擇 ，在皇馬所踢了21場聯賽中 ，名记魔笛莫德裏奇首發出場14次 ，皇马雖然沒有進球但是接近近日即貢獻了4次助攻 。而在6場歐冠小組賽中 ，莫德裏奇首發出場5次，替補出場1次 ，貢獻了1次助攻。

而西班牙媒體《MadridistaReal》也給出了類似的報道 ，但是這家媒體寫道 ：“合約還沒簽署 ！皇馬方麵認為續約可以完成 ，這也是球員方麵的意願 ，但是莫德裏奇還未簽字 。”
截止到目前為止 ，西班牙主流媒體《阿斯報》、《馬卡報》等都還沒有莫德裏奇將會續約皇馬的報道。但是從莫德裏奇本賽季的出色發揮看 ，他留在戰艦繼續踢球的概率極高。
