穆勒最終總結道 ：“我認為英超是世界上最大的聯賽，這一點無需質疑 。但這並不意味著英超前五的球隊在歐戰之中能夠擁有什麽優勢 。舉個例子，當你把英超第四和德甲第四拉到一起來比賽的話，那麽任何一方晉級都是正常的結果 。”
拜仁在本賽季的歐冠抽簽中遭遇了上賽季的決賽對手巴黎 ，如果能夠順利晉級，他們將迎戰曼城與多特之間的勝者 。值得一提的是 ，在奪冠賠率榜單中 ，曼城是唯一超過拜仁的存在 。
