在廣州隊在上半場0-4落後於川崎前鋒時 ，西亞記者Uri Levy發文炮轟 ：亞足聯應該將所有中國球隊踢出本屆亞冠 ，一支球隊這樣做 、其他球隊也效仿、像廣州隊這樣的大俱樂部都讓U21梯隊來比賽 ，他們一場半比賽就丟了9球了 ，這對亞洲足球來說是一種災難 。
