由於拜仁與萊萬多夫斯基間的續約不順 ，因此聯絡哈蘭德也不讓人感到意外。不過拜仁CEO卡恩曾公開否認過引進哈蘭德的可能 ，“他已經在多特展現了自己的能力。他是一位完美的射手 ，在未來會成為一名非常有趣的球員 。但是這個包裹（球員的工資和經紀人傭金） ，對於我們來說是遠遠超出想象的 。”
雖然拜仁與哈蘭德之間有了聯係 ，但《圖片報》同時指出 ，哈蘭德最可能的下家依然還是曼城 。與此同時 ，人們也不能忘記皇馬 ，銀河戰艦對挪威人一直保持著關注 。
