據《曼徹斯特晚報》消息 ，朗尼克曾拒絕了曼聯開出的第一份合同 ，在收到曼聯修改之後的條款之後 ，朗尼克接受了曼聯的邀請。據悉 ，朗尼克簽訂了一份為期兩年半的合同 。其中 ，前半年作為主教練執教球隊 ，後兩年則退居幕後 ，擔任俱樂部的技術顧問 ，繼續為曼聯服務 。
