This post contains spoilers about Netflix's Gilmore Girls: A Year in the Life.
LOS ANGELES -- You aren't crazy: Emily Gilmore's new maid Berta in Gilmore Girls: A Year in the Life is indeed a familiar face.
Berta, who is seen in all four episodes of the new Netflix revival, is played by Rose Abdoo, who also plays Stars Hollow car mechanic Gypsy.
Lauren Graham, who plays Lorelai, confirmed the casting overlap on Saturday by tweeting a TVLine article which first reported the news.
Rose read it for fun in a table read because they hadn't cast it yet, and she was so hilarious they had to double her up! https://t.co/tnfAhHOZIp

Gypsy also appears in the revival several times fixing Lorelai's beloved car.
Meanwhile, Berta is seen greeting the Gilmore girls and Emily's other guests at the Hartford home.

The running joke throughout the four episodes is that Emily doesn't know what language Berta is speaking, but she seems to like her a lot more than other maids she's employed.
Emily also confuses Berta's family members, who are seen living in the Gilmore house helping fix everything and anything after the death of Richard Gilmore.
Fans quickly began pointing out the casting overlap.
