With about 15 percent more style points than Steph Curry's infamous hospital shoes and all the swag of an earthbound astronaut, a new, on-of-a-kind shoe debuted this week called the Virgin America First Class Shoe.

But before you dismiss them as the unsexy, alternate universe version of the Nike Mag, it should be noted that these shoes are also being auctioned off for a good cause.
The auction will benefit Soles4Souls, a non-profit organization that works to give shoes and clothing to impoverished communities.

The agency only created one pair, and the latest bid, as of this writing, stands at $4,950 on eBay, with just a little less than eight days left.
No, these probably don't represent the high-end style most imagine when thinking of riding in first class, but as an incredibly rare mix of fashion and tech, it's hard not to consider a bid.
