因為歐足聯在歐冠淘汰賽抽簽時的马特马鸣“烏龍” ，原本皇馬在歐冠16強的乌斯为皇對手由本菲卡變成了巴黎聖日耳曼 。顯然，不平皇馬晉級八強的抽签難度陡增 。對此 ，发生德國足壇名宿馬特烏斯有著自己的失误看法 。
馬特烏斯認為 ，马特马鸣“這確實可能發生 ，乌斯为皇盡管也是不平不該發生的 。我們每個人都會有失誤 。抽签”同時，发生馬特烏斯也提到了重新進行第二次抽簽後 ，失误最大的马特马鸣“受害者”可能是皇馬 。馬特烏斯表示 ，乌斯为皇“第二次抽簽確實會令皇馬惱火 ，不平他們現在得麵對巴黎而非本菲卡 ，我可以理解他們的惱火 。” 對於有西班牙媒體認為皇馬提出上訴的可能性 ，馬特烏斯分析 ，“僅僅是合乎邏輯的 ，因為他們的抽簽發生在失誤之前 。不過現在該專注於淘汰賽了 ，皇馬的對手可是巴黎 。”
至於自己的老東家拜仁 ，對手從馬競變成了薩爾茨堡紅牛 。馬特烏斯看好拜仁晉級 ，“薩爾茨堡紅牛沒什麽可輸的，因為拜仁當然是大熱門 。但這對納格爾斯曼的球隊來說 ，並不是一張免費門票 。如果狀態出色 ，就連薩爾茨堡紅牛也可以擊敗一個更強的對手 。相比馬競，這肯定是更受歡迎的簽 。”
