在俄羅斯 、波蘭 、瑞典 、捷克組成的歐洲區附加賽小組中 ，俄羅斯被判出局 ，波蘭不戰而勝 。隨後 ，波蘭又在決賽中2-0擊敗了淘汰捷克的瑞典隊 ，波蘭隊最終獲得了卡塔爾世界杯決賽圈的一個席位 。
