此前 ，接受皇馬官方曾為姆巴佩開出了1.6億歐元的周官第一份報價 ，但該報價被巴黎正式回絕 ，西媒宣對此巴黎總監萊昂納多表示，皇马俱樂部不希望以低於買入價的亿欧轉會費賣出姆巴佩（注 ：姆巴佩2017年轉會身價為1.8億歐） 。
而據此前消息，姆巴在今年歐冠小組賽抽簽結束後，佩被皇馬和巴黎高層就姆巴佩轉會一事繼續進行了磋商 。接受隨後《馬卡報》消息傳來 ，周官皇馬開出的西媒宣1.7億歐元外加1000萬歐浮動條款的報價被巴黎接受，這份總額1.8億歐元的報價也剛好抵消姆巴佩4年前加盟巴黎的轉會費 。
巴黎今年夏天引入了梅西 、多納魯馬 、維納爾杜姆等多位強援 ，被認為組建了一套震驚世界的“航母球隊”，因此 ，姆巴佩的離開對於巴黎雖然仍是巨大損失 ，但有了梅西的存在 ，巴黎對於在合適報價下放走姆巴佩也就持開放態度了 。
