You can always count on kids doing some seriously weird stuff.
Layde Hobson was excited to receive a positive phone call from her son's principal earlier this week. Except the reason she was so happy is something that won't make many parents very proud.
The principal told Hobson that her son Brylan "made her day" because he somehow managed to bring a dead squirrel to school.

"When asked by the principal what possessed him to pick up this dead squirrel and store it in his backpack, my son replies with 'I really wanted squirrel dumplings for dinner tonight,'" Hobson wrote on Facebook.
While we love dumplings, squirrel dumplings might sound a tad bit unappetizing. It actually is a dish though, so here's a link to a recipe if you'd like to go to a part of the internet where you've never been before.
Hobson says she had to explain that they are in fact from the country, but aren't "THAT country."
Regardless of your opinion on eating squirrel, kids are little weirdos that bring us endless joy.
