Members of the。 Overwatch 。community voted on which they players they wanted to represent their country. 。

The player with the most votes from each country became the designated captain of their country's team; three more team slots were filled by the people with the next three highest vote totals. The remaining two slots were picked by the team's captain.。

and have seen success in tournaments, other countries' players voted for popular streamers who aren't exactly known for being great players. 。 The United States and Sweden are captained by top players Seagull and Iddqd, who have both been on professional。Overwatch 。 teams. Brazil is headed by popular YouTuber BRKsEDU, who has a very average rank of 50 (from a 1-100 scale) and hasn't played in any。Overwatch 。

Teams without many competitive players will have a very difficult time making it to the playoffs in November; each region has a single-elimination online qualifier to determine who makes it through. The top sixteen teams, including six that will automatically qualify, will battle for the championship at BlizzCon in Anaheim, California.。
Some of the top teams in the tournament look to be the U.S., Canada, Sweden, Finland, Germany, Russia, South Korea and China.。
