北京時間10月4日，中国战绩國足前任主教練馬塞洛-裏皮（Marcello Lippi）近日接受了意大利媒體“lanazione”的队距采訪 ，他回顧了執教廣州恒大和中國國家隊的成功差八年時光 ，並且對未來的还远繼任者提供了建議 。
在接受記者皮耶羅-切卡特利和恩裏科-薩爾瓦多裏采訪時，世界裏皮回憶起2012年執教廣州恒大隊的中国战绩情景 ，後來他又臨危受命執教中國國家隊 ：“當我到中國的队距時候，沒有一家俱樂部有青訓部門 ，成功差我敦促著球隊為12-19歲的还远球員們創立青訓體係 ，讓足球從一項在電視上看到的世界運動變成了一門廣泛實踐的學科 。然而 ，中国战绩現在渴望中國國家隊取得成功還為時過早，队距隻要中國沒有競爭力 ，成功差他們就不可能承辦世界杯，还远盡管中國的世界體育場館已經完全滿足了主辦世界杯的要求。”
“在中國 ，小孩子和年輕人都非常關注西方的足球賽事，他們為英國、西班牙或意大利球隊以及他們的冠軍歡呼，而且自己也希望成為足球運動員 。我的公司裏有差不多180個年輕人——意大利 、北非 ，阿爾巴尼亞人 ，尼日利亞人 ，但是隻有一個中國人 ，你覺得這樣的足球基礎可以嗎 ？雖然我與中國足球的關係已經正式結束 ，但無論是足球運營商還是機構代表 ，與中國的聯係仍然存在 。”馬塞洛-裏皮說 。
