《體壇周報》表示 ：申花卻不得不麵對另一個現實 ，免费就是签下球隊內老球員過多 ，30歲以上球員已經達到了18名——楊旭33歲 ，吴曦金信煜32歲 ，有喜有忧博拉30歲 ，线队於漢超34歲 ，超人張璐33歲 ，申花岁上莫雷諾34歲 ，秦升34歲，孫世林32歲 ，曹贇定31歲 ，朱寶傑31歲 ，吳曦32歲 ，畢津浩30歲 ，約尼奇30歲 ，趙明劍33歲 ，馮瀟霆35歲 ，艾迪30歲 ，李帥38歲 ，曾誠34歲 。
在隊內幾名29歲的球員中 ，孫凱和柏佳駿在3月底將年滿30周歲 ，朱建榮和彭欣力在7月份年滿30 ，也就是說在2021賽季開始的時候 ，申花隊內將有20名30+老將 ，半程的時候將有22名30+老將。
