SINGAPORE -- 1980s rock legends Guns N' Roses will perform here for the first time next February.
But ticket price details for the Feb. 25 show also shocked many fans who took to social media to complain about the astronomically-high prices for the higher-tier tickets.

Three different VIP packages for the Guns N' Roses show range from S$1,038 ($749) to a staggering S$2,063 ($1,488) for a lounge experience.

Meanwhile, standard tickets will cost between S$199 ($143) and S$298 ($215) each, while a VIP General Admission ticket is going for S$568 ($409).

Facebook user Wayne Ree posted: "A lot of old school GnR fans passing on their show here. I guess you could say they're all....estranged."
Another user, Ian Tan said: "GnR coming to SG? Sorry man, I think some teenage memories are best left to YouTube, and not a $2,000 ticket."
However, it remains to be seen how fans here will respond when public ticket sales begin on Monday.

Reunion for Axl and GnR
This will be GnR's first ever concert here, and part of a world tour which sees founder and frontman Axl Rose reuniting with former members, guitarist Slash and bassist Duff McKagan, after a 23-year separation.
Apart from Japan, Singapore is the only country in Asia that Guns N' Roses will head to, said concert organiser LAMC in a statement, so fans from other countries in the region are likely to flock here.
Fans in the region such as Filipino Facebook user Melissa Mayangitan posted: "My friends in Manila are raving about this!"
Twitter user Sophia Ramirez posted: "Kinda wanna go to Singapore so I can watch gnr."

A recent act that came close to commanding so much from fans' pockets was Madonna, who performed at the National Stadium in February. VIP tickets for her show sold for S$1,288 ($929) while the next tier was priced at S$688 ($496).
When heavy metal heavy-weights Metallica performed in 2013 at Changi Exhibition Centre -- the same venue for upcoming GnR concert -- standard tickets were priced much less, ranging from S$148 ($106) to S$188 ($135).
