Get ready for an exciting virtual conference that is definitely not a boring slog like... every other virtual conference.
Apple today confirmed that WWDC, its annual developer conference which long ago moved to the digital realm in response to the coronavirus, will kick off on June 22. But don't worry, because according to the press release confirming the date, this WWDC is going to be something to remember.
That's right, Apple isn't going to let a little global pandemic rain on its parade. The company that's brought you game-changing products, like the $29 Apple Pencil case, isn't one to rest on its laurels and, coronavirus or no, this developer conference is going to be off the hook.
Really, Apple promises.

"WWDC20 will be our biggest yet, bringing together our global developer community of more than 23 million in an unprecedented way for a week in June to learn about the future of Apple platforms," Phil Schiller breathlessly intoned in the press release.

"We can't wait to meet online in June with the global developer community and share with them all of the new tools we've been working on to help them create even more incredible apps and services," he continued in the release.
You hear that? Apple can't waitfor this virtual con to pop off.

And come June 22, after around what will be 14 weeks of social distancing and Zoom calls, we're sure at least a couple of people will feel the same way. Meanwhile, the rest of us will have long sworn off digital conferences for life.
