Apple has reportedly settled on the date for its highly anticipated fall keynote where we'll finally see the iPhone 8 — Sept. 12 — according to a new report from the Wall Street Journalciting sources who are aware Apple's plans.
The company's annual fall keynote event, which has become one of the biggest days of the year for tech enthusiasts, is typically used to showcase the latest and greatest hardware offerings from Apple. Rumors about the Sept. 12 target date recently began to pick up steam, as the date fits within the company's pattern established over the last few years.
The event hasn't been confirmed by Apple yet, as the company declined to provide a comment for the original report or Mashable's follow up requests for clarification.
This year we're expecting to see Tim Cook and other executives take the stage to reveal the iPhone 8, a new LTE connected Apple Watch, and a new 4K-enabled Apple TV.

TheWSJreport also claims that the event could be held at the new Steve Jobs theater at the company's massive new Apple Park campus — but the space might not even be finished yet, so there's some question if that will be possible. As always, we'll be following this closely, so check back for more info when the invitations are finally sent out.
