據《鏡報》介紹，接吓這起事故發生在比賽的祝好重受上半場 。當時 ，伯恩韋斯特伍德與弗拉西奇在中場附近拚搶 ，利中韋斯特伍德停高空球稍大 ，场疑弗拉西奇則試圖將球捅走 。似脚伤对手直然而在拚搶過後，踝严韋斯特伍德倒在了地上，接吓瘋狂地向替補席示意自己似乎遭遇了嚴重的祝好重受腳踝傷病 。而一旁的弗拉西奇在看到之後則情緒失控 ，雙手捂住臉，跪在地上痛哭流涕 ，甚至需要隊友和對手的安慰才能稍稍平複情緒 。
在經過長時間的治療之後 ，韋斯特伍德直接被抬出了場地 。而在網絡上 ，人們也向韋斯特伍德送上了祝福 ，“從弗拉西奇和阿龍-克裏斯維爾的臉上可以看出 ，他（韋斯特伍德）一定是遭遇了嚴重的傷病……希望他能一切都好 。”
