受疫情影響 ，粤媒迎亚运中國足協昨天已明確向東亞足聯提出無法承辦今年的中国第九屆東亞杯足球賽 ，並確認派U23國足參加該項賽事 。放弃
東亞杯是承办出战由東亞足聯主辦的足球賽事 ，每兩年舉行一次 ，东亚由日本 、入替韓國 、国足中國三國輪流舉辦 。粤媒迎亚运上一屆東亞杯2019年在韓國舉行 ，中国當時由李鐵率領的放弃國家二隊獲得了第3名。根據“輪辦”原則 ，承办出战2022年第九屆東亞杯將於今年在中國舉行。东亚不過 ，入替受疫情影響 ，国足中國足協已明確向東亞足聯提出無法承辦本屆賽事，粤媒迎亚运比賽大概率將易地舉辦 。
U23國足今年最重要的任務是參加9月杭州亞運會 。在杭州亞運會之前 ，東亞杯成為U23國足最好的練兵機會 。目前 ，U23國足與國足已同機從西亞返回了海口 ，雙方進入了隔離期 ，同時展開封閉集訓 。國足的朱辰傑 、戴偉浚這些U23的適齡球員都將加入U23國足的備戰陣營 。
