博格巴在輸給利物浦的今夏将离比賽中受傷退場。朗尼克在對阿森納的朗尼联賽前透露 ：“我們昨天的掃描結果顯示 ，他本賽季不太可能出場了 。克博开醫生告訴我他至少需要四周才能康複 ，格巴由於最後一場比賽是因伤五月底 ，他再次出場的赛季可能性不大 。”
博格巴的报销合同今夏到期 ，在不續約的今夏将离情況下 ，這意味著博格巴曼聯生涯的朗尼联終結 。就此事朗尼克做出了回應：“就目前看來，博格巴不會與曼聯續約 ，很可能下賽季他不會繼續效力曼聯。”
