切爾西方麵的逾期理由是 ，他們與塞維利亞已經達成了協議，西没以5500萬歐達成孔德的替代轉會，但是不放报塞維方麵突然漲價，堅持索要7000萬歐 ，孔德導致這一轉會目前陷入僵局 。逾期
塞維利亞體育總監蒙奇對此發表了西甲俱樂部方麵的西没態度——蒙奇表示 ：“如果沒有一個我們認為可以很好的進行再投資的方案的話 ，那麽孔德的替代轉會就不會被接受 。”
“孔德自己心裏也非常清楚這一點 ，不放报他是孔德一名出色的且職業的球員 。”
“我們為他的逾期轉會設置的截止日期是8月20日 ，但直到8月25日 ，我們收到了關於他的報價，所以我們拒絕了 。”
英媒方麵仍然看好這筆轉會最終成行 。
