If Samsung's Note 20 doesn't excite you, the company alsotook the wraps off the Galaxy Z Fold2 during its Unpacked event on Wednesday.
The second-generation Fold doesn't look allthat different from last year's model aside from slightly larger displays, higher refresh rate, and new color options.
On the front, the Fold2 features a 6.2-inch cover display that opens up to a 7.6-inch edge-to-edge screen — complete with Samsung's signature Infinity-O technology for a nearly bezel-less view and a 120Hz refresh rate. Meanwhile, the first-gen model has a smaller 4.3-inch cover display and 6.23-inch inner display.
As for color options, you'll have the choice between Mystic Bronze and Mystic Black.
Samsung also announced it has teamed up with American fashion designer Thom Browne to create a special edition version.
If this sounds familiar, that's because the company first partnered with the designer back in February for the Galaxy Z Flip. The Z Fold2 will look similar, modeled after a Thom Browne sport coat with red, navy, and white stripes.
Of course, due to the disaster that was the launch of the Galaxy Fold, Samsung made sure to emphasize one aspect of the Fold2 during its presentation: durability.

This time around, Samsung says the Z Fold2 features its Ultra Thin Glass (UTG), as seen on the Galaxy Z Flip, which is supposed to be a lot more durable than the glass on the original Fold.
The soft and rigid layers of the UTG have been rearranged to not only make it stronger, but to also optimize it for both low and high temperatures. However, it remains to be seen how durable the phone actuallyis in person.
Samsung added another feature from the Z Flip: the free-standing hinge. It allows you to keep the device open at multiple angles rather being limited to unfolding it completely.
Specs like camera sensors and processor have yet to be confirmed but the company did say it will feature a 4,500mAh battery under the hood. More details will be revealed on Sept. 1 when the device becomes available for pre-order.
